Get to know us

We started as brothers who loved the game of baseball and a desire to help those less fortunate than us. We wanted to combine these passions, which led us to creating Swinging for Good. We then realized that kids growing up in the Dominican Republic shared our love for the game of baseball, but realized they did not have many of the basic resources we enjoyed including indoor plumbing, nor did they have a proper baseball field. In connection, with Striking out Poverty/Food for the Hungry, we identified La Estancia in the Domincan Republic, as a village that needed our help.

Our mission

Is pretty simple. We want to make a difference and make the world a better place.

La Estancia

Is located in Monte Plata, ~4 miles from Yamasa. It is approximately 30 miles from Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic

Our team

Brothers Jake and Noah Martin, share a common goal of combining their love of baseball and helping others that are less fortunate. With this goal in mind, they started, Swinging for Good, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, in 2018.
